We like it!

First off our gym arrived a week early, so that was cool! We got our gym on 4/24 and just finished assembling it in 2 days. The assembling was not bad at all, but when we got to the pulleys it got a little difficult. The diagram was pretty easy to follow. Overall we like it and can’t wait to use it 😉

It’s actually being used!

My husband asked for this machine for Christmas and I literally rolled my eyes because I figured it would be a clothes hanger like his weight bench. He finally got around to putting it together at the start of the quarantine and I have to say that he’s actually using it several times per week! It took 2 evenings to get it put together but the instructions were clear and it wasn’t difficult. He used a power drill for the bolts and a few other hand held tools to put it together. The machine is easy to use and quick to change for different workouts. We added a little oil to the weight bar to help them raise and lower smoothly but other than that, it works perfectly. Very happy with this purchase for the price!

Good all around fitness machine.

First, considerably more substantial than it appears in pictures; hard to believe they can market this for $200. As one reviewer noted it took about 6 hours to assemble. If you are already semi-fit you can do it alone (I did) but if you are just getting started or have medical issues get someone to assist you. Arrived promptly but one bolt was mismatched and one pulley broken; which customer service quickly rectified. Now for the last year I have been cycling a 17 mile loop 5 to 6 times a week and thought my legs were plenty strong but 2 weeks on this machine and hills that were a trial before now just glide by. And that old landscaping injury joint pain gradually diminished. In a word: exceeded my expectations.

Good value for the money.

We really like this gym. It's a really good product for the money. It doesn't allow all the exercises I want to do but it does a good number of them well. I would recommend this gym for the average person who just wants to maybe build up a little bit and/or maintain muscle strength and tone. Big time body builders will probably want more but it's a good value.

Instructions are pretty good but the way the manufacturer placed all the fasteners on the bubble wrap cards is really frustrating. Should come off in the sequence they're placed. As it is, it's a hunt for something every time. Also, they really could have standardized a lot of these nuts, bolts and washer sizes. Having a gazillion washer and nut sizes is unnecessarily complicated.

Amazing and Great for Price.

Love this machine, fricken excellent price. Takes a while to assemble, watched entire You Tube Video on How to Assemble Weider 2890 first and glad I did - its not hard but not easy either. Took me 3 hours with breaks and then had to finish a few days later for about an hour and a half, but I am physically challenged and it was like a work out for me. Worth every minute.
