New Favorite Protein.
MUCH better quality than most protein powders. Recently switched from Muscle Milk Collegiate due to added sucralose. Love that this comes in the large tub. Initially tried the 2 lb and upped the size once I found out I enjoy it!
Love it. I buy it all of the time.
Love how it make my breakfast smoothies thick like custard ice cream if you use frozen fruit when blending.
Decent value protein shake
This is a decent value protein shake.
I bought the chocolate flavour and it tastes like cake mix. I like it but my girlfriend had a sip and wasn't so keen.
I have not tried the other flavours so cannot comment on those.
I have the shake with water in the morning as soon as I get up and also straight after the gym session at night with a teaspoon of creatine added.
It does not contain lactose which is a good thing as I am lactose intolerant. I have had no stomach issues since taking this twice daily for the last 2 weeks.
As mentioned by someone else, it does contain 300 kcal per serving (2 scoops) which may be too much for people trying to loose weight. I am trying to bulk up my muscle so this is an easy way to get an extra 600 kcal per day plus a stack of protein and vitamins.
The 2240g tub should last 1 month when having 2 shakes per day.
I am SO happy I found this protein powder
I am SO happy I found this protein powder, I could cry tears of happiness right now. Before you assume I'm being a bit overdramatic, let me explain: I recently discovered that I have a very severe, borderline debilitating allergy to sucralose. As an athlete who works out 5 to 6 times a week, I felt a bit discouraged, because so many supplements out there contain sucralose. When I discovered this protein powder has the option of all natural flavoring without sucralose, I was overjoyed. When it arrived today, I had the absolute pleasure of trying it after a long, 2-hour workout session, and I was not disappointed. The texture was light and airy, and blended very well when I tossed it in my blender with 10-12 ounces of water, some ice, and one whole banana. The flavor was a refreshing vanilla, and didn't taste chalky or have that overwhelming "protein" taste that some powders have. I absolutely love this product and it is now a permanent fixture on my Amazon shopping list. LOVE IT!!!!
Great product-have been using for years.
I have been using Muscle Milk for years as a post work out drink as well as in smoothies each morning. It has a great flavor in my opinion, not just vanilla but also many others. The formula seems to be consistent and I have not noticed any decrease in quality over the years. I get this through the subscribe and save program...very convenient.
If yo are looking for a protein powder do your research about the types that are available. I am not a hard core weight lifter or body builder but I have been working out 5 days a week (mostly) over the last 34 years and have been using this product on the advice of friend. Tastes like a milk shake and am not sore after the workout...what's not to like?
I guess the bad reviews regarding the flavor are correct even in 2020.
I didn't want to believe it as I've drank this muscle milk since my early highschool years (16 years ago) and I've loved it since then. For a while this would be my reward for my post workout. I would work out fast and hard just to be able to run home and make myself a nice cold shake.
I have not had a bad experience until now. My most recent order tastes like muscle milk but the AFTERTASTE is DISGUSTING. I checked the ingredients and it seems nothing has changed (I still have my last empty tub here). The only difference I see is my older (now empty) tub has an expiration date of late next year 2021 while the most recent tub I got has an expiration date of late 2020. This means my last order was more recently manufactured but my most recent order was actually manufactured much further back in the past. I guess some of these tubs sit on the shelf for a year or more before they make it to us. I will still order another once I'm finished with this one and pray for the best because this brand has always been the best tasting for me hands down. I hope I get lucky on my next one.
